This is such a fun enjoyable read, but there is also a lot of heart clenching suspense. Such as when Harper is hypnotized into a smelly rusty alien ship so they can strap her into a frame with her backend sticking out and all the beyond nasty aliens have little hard ons. But luckily she is saved by Vrax'ton who cuts a hole with his ax into the room. Unfortunately the bad aliens take offense and shot them down to the planet with a perpetually moving fire that sweeps across the entire planet every year. What I found fascinating was Ms. Skye's world building of the killer plants and animals. Definitely different than usual and very interesting to read about. It was a rollercoaster ride to stay ahead of the fire and not get killed by the planet in the meantime. And the ending was great. But you will have to read it to find out. I definitely recommend this book. I voluntarily read this advanced reader copy and give an honest review. Enjoy! 😀Product details

I was amazed at how this world came to life. It was both beautiful and frightening! There was so much suspense from the very beginning all the way through. I liked how we only got glimpses of other characters, and not the complete sell for the next book. Please tell me there is a next book? I'm already looking.
Abducted by aliens, then almost raped by them would render Harper quite traumatized. But it’s interesting how Harper pretty much bounced back and had sex with another alien who saved her. The prose was not titillating, or arousing...this is suppose to be an erotic romance, ya? And what’s with the “womanly center”? This is not a Victorian vanilla romance but a sci-fi erotic romance, right?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought the world building was excellent and the plot well paced. The romance between the hero and heroine was believable even though it happened quickly because of their recognition as fated mates. Although there were some typos I simply inserted the correct word and kept reading. Typos happen and I don't think it's entirely fair to judge a person's writing based on a few typos. Aside from those, I thought the writing flowed well and I liked the style.
Her romance plots are sweet and simple. It’s always a fight for survival story with lots of adventure and discoveries. The intimate moments could be better or a bit more realistic but not really complaint worthy.
I have already read her “Caveman” series and I’m starting this “Fire Planet” series. I have already decided to invest in this author and have already purchased half of her book catalog so far. I will get the rest after I have finished this series, the “Given” series and the “StarSet” series first.
These exciting adventure sci-fi romance books are a nice read and I encourage Ms. Skye to keep them coming. ☺️
I definitely enjoyed the book. The characters were fun and believable. There were a few grammar issues and a few overlooked words, but other than that it really was a good read. It was simple, yet had characters I enjoyed. The romantic scenes got me blushing and I fell in love with Vrax'ton.
Especially, Lily! Hope you plan on giving her a story. (Glad you spelled her name right too!) Ha!
I thought this was well written with a great plot. The author really put some thought into writing this series. I really liked the buildup of the story they are given time to get to know each other. It was a run read that does have suspense that keeps you on the edge. You have aliens that take offence and attack which at time is suspenseful and at other times funny. It was a delightful read that is a roller coaster ride. I can’t wait for the next in this series.
I could not put this book down. The plot was perfection. This author knows how to come up with stories no one else has ever thought of. I especially liked the descriptions of the plants and animals on the fire planet. Even though I knew it was fiction , it seemed plausible and even right the way things worked together. I have just discovered this author and I plan on getting all her books. I hope she writes more in all her series. I will pray for her good health and tremendous imagination! Calista, you are one in a million and I am in awe of you!!!!! Keep writing!
